Related Plans and Documents
In addition to community outreach and a review of existing conditions, the Parks of the Future Plan will be informed by a review of existing parks and planning documents. These documents are described and linked below for your reference. (All links will connect you to a page where you can view or download a pdf file.)
General Plan
The City’s General Plan serves as a blueprint for planning and development into the future. Two sub-elements of the Sunnyvale’s General Plan will serve as guiding documents during the project:
The City of Sunnyvale Community Vision is the guiding framework and overarching component of the General Plan. It was adopted in May, 2007.
The Open Space and Recreation Sub-Element describes goals and policies related to Open Space and Recreation. The Sub-Element is part of the larger Community Development General Plan Element and was adopted in 2006.
