Planning Timeline

In the fall of 2007, the City of Sunnyvale embarked on the planning process for the Parks of the Future Plan. The City hired the Berkley-based planning firm Moore Iacofano Goltsman, Inc. (MIG) to work with the Parks and Recreation Department to develop the Plan. Throughout the development, the City and MIG will emphasize involving the community to inform the Plan and identify the needs, priorities and vision of Sunnyvale.

The project process graphic below provides a visual timeline of the planning process and highlights key milestones. A community workshop will be held in July 2008 to review draft recommendations. The draft plan should be completed by the end of August and adopted by the Sunnyvale City Council by November 2008.
